Borano os Eggs is one of the species of traditional Ajarian dish – Borano.

The origin of the Egg Borano is associated with the following:

  1. The egg is a symbolic for Ajarian cuisine because it is associated with the sun, life and energy. Having an Egg Borano in Adjara is considered as the best breakfast.
  2. Egg Borano was created by the locals as less fatty version of traditional Borano. The egg balances the amount of Ajarian butter Iagi and “Chechili” cheese in the dish and it is a mainc source of protein and energy.
