Food History

Nagbibora is one of the species of traditional Ajarian dish – Borano.

The origin of the Nagrbibora is associated with the following:

  1. Families that were hosting the special guests should have treating them with a special dish. Unlike from traditional borano it is made with Ajarian cream – Kaimagi. Families would eep this ingredient Kaimagi for special occasions. In the households were guests were treated with Nagbibora, were considered as the wealthiest families.
According to the second version of the story, the better and tastier the woman would cook Nagbibora, the better housewife she would be.
